55 gallon tank into a Betta tank?

My only question is how would you enjoy looking at the second row of fish on the second plan? It looks like to me they would be hidden unless you have the whole tank out in the open where you can walk around it.

"The second version would have both long sides to view, so a short side would be against the wall with the rest having clear space."

You can always use plain needlepoint canvas and use Fusion on it to make it uniform. I've done that with Betta dividers several times.

I have a 110 AquaClear filter sitting around and the craft plastic canvas is needlepoint canvas. If I go with 10/12 sections, the tank will have one of it's short sides against the wall, other 3 sides clear to walk around and view. That small side against the wall is where I will put the filter and heater. Hopefully the filter will fit!

I'm interested how well this will work filtration wise. I have a rack, and can easily fit one of those Mr. Aqua 12g three foot long tanks on it. I'd love to have a betta condo. What is stopping me is filtration. Keep us posted!

I will be interested to see this develop. The only issue I foresee would be the cubes farthest from the filter stagnating somewhat. I would be tempted to not only run the AC filter, but to buy a large air pump, and run a ATI Hydro mini sponge in each of the subunits. This will increase overall filtration, as well as help prevent water in the units from stagnating.

I may have the solution to your filteration problem.

You could put a divider on top of each betta's tank section that will leave a few inches of water above all the tanks. Then have the filter and heater in the top section. They should clean it all.

f not that way, why not use divider with very small holes that allow water through but aren't see through so they don't stress out..

Hope I helped!!

The dividers will be these things. Though I am only able to find white.
