I just wanted to share this slideshow of our 55 gallon vivarium.
Live stock are Fire belly Toads (Bombadina orientalis), Cherry shrimp (neocaridina heteropoda v "red") and some non-fancy guppies. All three species are actively breeding.
Plants are Temple plant (hygrophilia Corymbosa) Red Ludwegia (Ludwegia Repens x "palustris"). Rotala indica, Java moss, cooper crypts, a peace lilly, and some green beans.
The coolest feature of this tank, I think, is the home-made in-tank aquaponic filter sytem on the left side. It is a fluidized gravel bed reactor that filters the water as well as providing land area and plant cover for the toads.
Enjoy!
