Funny you mentioned that, because a lady my mom works for is giving away numerous free 5.5 gallons. I told her to get 2 and she did. I guess they will be put into good use!

That's great to hear! Just get a small sponge filter for it for when you have new fish. But you'll most likely have to do water changes everyday or everyother day if you don't have a cycled QT tank. The tank doesn't need to be cycled all the time since it's usually used for emergency.
