I had to move my loaches into this tank to protect my shrimp, and after a few days of them being in there I was finally able to find time to redue the substrate. I miss them so much, my husband is already talking about getting another tank:grinyes:

My kuhlis like to dance after water changes, is this normal? I always heard this is a sign of stress. Sometimes they dance in the bubbles, though at night, and its in circles, and the peppers and dojos and corys will even participate.
I have footage of my 7-8'' pleco chillin up side down in the bubbles for half an hour. We had a little tile house at first with bubbles in it, He would crawl in there and hover over the bubbles so they broke on his belly, and favoring mostly his under arms, would then look up in pleasure.
He is silly, about 9 years old now, we got him from a friend who had a 20g tank, and they wanted a new smaller pleco. He was so big in there all he could do was turn from one side to the other. But he is too big for my tank really (or will get too big, already grown 1.5'' since I got him last year), I like him, but if anyone wants him, you can have him.

They might be more active after water changes because the water is fresh & more oxygenated... my corys are like that sometimes

Yes, I sorted the rocks and only left just the creek stones. Added some sand since, some of my fish like sand, caves and rocks. My next step is to add more plants.
I only have friendly loaches in there now, so they are capable of sharing that big cave under the log, I have a plastic tunnel in there and countless caves.
