I upgraded my tank from a 30g to a 55g tall last month. Since then, it has been sitting practically fishless because I can't make up my mind on what to get.

I currently have a pink spotted watchman goby and a single chromis.

I would like to get some Pajama Cardinals, and a clown or two. Maybe another chromis or two to go with the one I have? I would prefer a maroon clown, but worry that it would be to aggressive with the cardinals. So if the maroon is out, then I would get one or two false perculas. Maybe a smaller fish like a royal gramma?

-- I don't plan on getting ALL of these fish- these are the ones that I am leaning towards. So, given my current tank mates, any opinions on what and how many I should get?

Since the tank is 2 feet tall, it looks really bare with no fish swiiming around. My goby swims all along the bottom, in front of the rock, but there is a lot of open lonley space in the middle and at the top. :)

Tank specs: I have 70 lbs of live rock, 40 lbs of live sand. I run a skimmer but no sump/fuge.. :headshake2: No corals (yet)- just one lone hitchhiker mushroom. Any advise would be appreciated!

Thanks!

yeah... it kind of stinks when you need to use a step stool to reach the bottom of the tank. I have some of my power heads positioned so they get pretty close to the sand without creating a sand storm so I don't have to do much work that close to the bottom. The worst part is rearranging the live rock. I have to stand on the stool to pick up a piece, then place it somewhere, get down, check it out, get back up, and over and over... I still am not happy with rock placement yet, but it is such an ordeal. I love the size of the tank though, and how it looks on the wall we have it on-- a girls got to have priorities. :O) The only draw back so far has been the narrow space under the stand. it doesn't leave any room for a sump or fuge. I am looking into getting a HOB fuge though, or having a new stand built.

I have decided on these fish for sure:

(1) Watchman goby
(2) P.J. Cardinals
(2) False Perculas or (1) Maroon Clown

What I can't decide on it the chromis. Do I give the one I have back to the LFS? I like it, but think it needs to be with at least one or two other chromis. I don't know if that would be to much bio-load on my system and I don't want to over stock my tank.
