Very nice tank. I had a paper route when I was young too. cichlids are very fun to have. Good luck with your tank, looks very nice.

Hey, what kind of fish is that in the 3rd pic? The stripey one? Also, what is so great about cories? I'm asking because I'm thinking of getting a couple, and people seem to recommend them a lot.
lol the striped one is a golden zebra botia great little guy (tho the only food he will eat is BLOODWORMS!! which is alittle wiered) and cories are just beautiful and fun they play and do the cory dance which is funny too watch...they are all together a fun loving fish!...even tho latley they for unknown reasons they have become scared of me so i have to walk slow by my tank as to not scare them!

Great, thanks. I really think that the golden zebra botia is so gorgeous. Are they all picky eaters like yours or is yours just special?
it was in really bad condition when i got him....the other one i got died because of it...........so i think only eating bloodworms is just his thing cause every fish is different
Nice tank corykid, your corys are cute & I like the rocks. Your loach is a botia striata, zebra loach (golden zebras are different, that's the problem with common names). I'm sorry you had 1 die, they really need to have a couple friends. Keep an eye out for more healthy ones. A leaf raking or snow shovelling job or 2 & you'll be all set.
If you're stilling planning on getting Malawians, you're going to need to totally redo your decor.
