I am open to suggestions... I have a 55gl Tank that I have sitting in the basement collecting dust....

Currently I have a 90 gallon reef that is doing good and I would like to set the 55 gallon tank up in the family room with nasty fish... Pretty much the things that cannot go in a reef tank... Like a really cool starfish that is not reef safe and a long spin urchin...

I am just not sure what type of cool fish i can have that can go into a 55 gallon. I like trigger fish but most need a bigger tank than 55... I like lion fish but they are not very bright and colorful... eels look cool also but they hide all the time correct? So I need some input as to what kind of fish I should try for the 55gl...

YOu could set it up as an eel tank since they can get pretty big. Another idea might be a predator tank (lionfish, etc). Those are pretty different fish.

Nasty fish? Lol. Well not so nasty but you could add a dwarf angel if you don't have one in your reef, since they're usually hit or miss in reef tanks. So do you mean "nasty" as in you'd like to have aggressive fish in there?

ya agressive fish would be the best I am thinking...

I like the sound of the eel tank also... What dould I have in with the eel? Could I have a Lion fish in with and eel? of a Niger Trigger fish?

I've never done it but you could do a lionfish and an eel? You could also look at an anglerfish/eel combo.
