Back from my vacation... tank is now 1 week and 1 day old w/ ten more lbs of live rock... This time the rock wasn't as clean/cured so my skimmer is actually skimming and making foam! Good stuff!! Water perams were all perfect up until I added more rock, which I imagine this should force the tank to cycle. Hopefully in another week or two and I'll be able to add a fish!!
The more SW tanks I see set up the more I want one ... I seen a really awesome looking porcupine puffer in a FS today had the bluest eyes I had ever seen. Also seen a really cool looking rabbit fox faced fish I think thats what it was called ... SW fish are really neat - course I dont think puffers are reef compatible and I think the foxface is venomous - YIKES - would need to do a lot of research!
I am really curious, how do you keep the live rock from crashing down?
