hey everybody i had a spare 60 gallon sitting around and was wanting to make it into a african cichlid tank but i havent had a cichlid tank for awhile so any suggestions would be cool

If you want mbunas I would start with yellow labs and another relatively peaceful species.

For Haplochromis many species get larger, so you should probably only get one species. Livingstoni get big but are one of my favorites.

ok thanks for the info but i was wondering if i could acutally just put 1 male pink convict a jack dempsy a green terror and a texas cichlid all will be added small 1-3 in at the most do you think i would be okay with this stock

That stock is SA/CA cichlids are you going in that direction now or are you sticking with African Cichlids?
That stock wouldn't be bad when they are small, but once they get bigger you'd run into problems I'd think with territories issues and aggression along

ok i think thats the direction im going to go and when they get bigger i will get them a bigger tank or setup another tank and split them up
