600gal plywood build.

..... wow. that's amazing!!!

and you don't even look like you just scrambled to get up there and pose before the timer ran out lol

This looks ridiculously awesome. I am so jealous. :thm:

LOL. Thanks. I'm glad you like it. I had a really weird and frustrating day yesterday, so I needed to see a milestone last night. getting it up on the stand made me feel better!

Alright, another late evening tonight... Or early morning however you wanna call it.

I did the touchup coat on the interior of the tank:

Sanded off the wood putty filling all the screw holes:

And I started out by just doing a test patch, and somehow that turned into staining the whole **** tank.

I also did some screwing around with where the bulkhead comes through. I needed to seal right through the bulkhead hole to the outside, because the gasket will be on the outside of the tank. No pics of the process, but here's the finished product:

Looks awesome so far.

Why would you put the bulkhead gasket on the outside of the tank?

Aha, I wondered if anyone would ask... The bulkheads I have are like low profile on the gasket side, and ugly-*** on the nut side. Since the inside will poke through into the filter area I don't really care what it looks like. So there you go it's all about looks :p Oh and the threaded side will be on the outside this way, so the in-tank plumbing will be semi permanent and the outside stuff will be removable.
