what size tank was it on? and what pump did you use as the return?

i've never use it cause i decided to go for internal overflow =D i was going to run it in my 75 gal with quietone 4000 pump.
what size is your tank?

72 gallon and i am going to try a 20 gallon sump

yes you can run any pump with this overflow box.
all you need to do is make sure your overflow box isnt running no more 600gph.
you can also run with a smaller pump.
