has anyone ever seen high K compact flourescents at say home depot or some other local store? i dislike ordering online and doing the whole shipping and whatnot thing.
the home depot here in south bay carries the daylight screw-in cf bulbs, from around 40w to 80w, i believe.
I think I am mistaken and I have 9325º bulbs.
http://tinyurl.com/5qeto is a good place to start looking but a brief web search told me that most places are simply offering 10,000º bulbs now. But I don't know whether you will like them. They kind of wash out freshwater tanks.
I have a series of photos of both my planted and Goldfish tanks under 9325, 6700, 7100, 5500 and actinic bulbs but do not have them posted online anywhere. I always meant to make a page out of them but never found the time- if you would like me to email you some comparison shots just let me know.
