Face it young man, you need more tanks! If you got a double decker stand like this:

You could put another 10 gallon tank on the bottom. It can be your angel grow out tank, because a shrimp tank is not compatible with growing angelfish babies. Nor bettas, as you have found.

I kind of think you know about the incompatibility issues in your tank, but you just hope for the best...it's much better to play it safe and stick with what is sensible. The cost of operating another 10 gallon tank is minimal, and a complete kit can be gotten at Walmart for less than $50. I like those Walmart kits with the twin incandescent sockets - a couple of daylight compact fluorescents will grow a wide range of plants

I already have a whole 10G kit, but no room, I'll ask my 11 year old bro if he'll let me setup in his room

Actually the angels show no interest in the angel babies yet, but they are going in the 72G in 2 weeks.


and do u guys think that if i put my 2 bettas together in the 72 they won't fight?
i have seen it done in a 55G,

my dad said yes, but the first house we found turns out to have major structure probs. which isn't great bc i live in CA, earthquake state
now on the look for a new house

Quarantine should be for at least 2 weeks with 3-4 weeks being better.

I know you are excited but why buy more shrimp when your current ones are not doing well?

actually the current ones are doing great now that i have removed the betta, it was the killer, so the prob. is solved

Okay, i closed the other problem thread bc some people were getting rude(well, i didn't close it, slappymcfish did, thx)

so, here is the plan


ALL DISCUS GONE!


So, for the 72G, I will have........................


1 breeding pair angelfish
1 trio GBRs
1 pair Gold Rams
4 yoyo loaches
4 albino long fin corys
4 julii corys
4 emerald green corys
1 upside down catfish
1 pair ABNs
1 clown pleco
14 harlequin rasboras
1 neon blue gourami
1 blue male veil tail betta
2 SAEs


and btw, the breeding pair of angels will be removed and transfered into their own 29G. I might also breed the corys, and move the rams to a different tank once they mature and start breeding.

nice call. discus just cant do community tanks. its good your responsibly rehoming them. hows the planting of the 72 coming along?
