72 gallon bow too small for a full size common pleco?

Hey Lupin have you seen the ones in Marikina River... they look like small logs :grinyes:
Only in pictures, Khombre.:) But from the sight of it, the water there is really dirty with lots of dead plecos on the banks as well.:shakehead:

By the way, I forgot to add that this will depend on what species your common pleco is. If this is Hypostomus plecostomus, it'll definitely reach 22 inches whereas Pterygoplichthys pardalis will reach 18 inches.

BS ppl my uncle have a commom pleco full grown in a ru ready a 30 gallon tank its huge but its been alive for ever and he has other catfish wich most ppl would say 55 gal min for its crazy how some ppl can just pull it off

Sorry to be blunt but that is stupid!

You will want something that is atleast 18" wide...preferably a tank wider than that. I'd start with a tank atleast 6ft long. :)

Its not the gallons that matters, but the dimensions of the tank.

Haha a six foot long tank would most likely crash through the floor and kill my downstairs neighbors. Im pushing it with a 72 gallon bowfront.
