my Zebra Lace Angel just passed away about an hour ago...this really saddens me, 2 angels passed away in one day

just tested the ph and its definitely above 7.5. my tester range is 6.5-7.5 and the color is a very dark blue so its beyond 7.5...i've never seen it that dark before, also tested ammonia level and its at 0ppm. 80F is fine right?
I agree with the background idea. I would say go with black to help bring out the color of your fish and plants 
that does sound like a good idea to me but it prolly won't happen for a very long time, I don't plan on emptying my taken and moving away from the wall anytime soon unless theres another way of doin it
Have you tested for Nitrite and Nitrate? Did the other angel show the red spots that you mentioned the first one having?
yet another angel (golden marble) passed away as well as my julie corycat. wtf is going on?!!! I have never had this happen in any of my fish tanks, I guess thats what I get for tryin to switch to live plants!
I really doubt it is the plants causing fish deaths. What are the rest of the parameters - nitrite/nitrate?
I went to test for nitrite and I had yet another angel die on me, so many deaths I decided to save the last 2 cories and put them in my 20gal with the tetras and fry gourami. Converting to planted cichlid tank...
