72g Bowfront Mbuna Tank

I picked I'm feeling lucky on youtube and the same song came up every time so that is what you get! Better than the loud water and fan noises! :D Of course watch them is HQ if you can!

1st video is of my 2 week old albino socolofi fry at feeding time.

2nd video is so bad I am embarrassed to post it! Camera insisted on focusing on the algae on the glass instead of the fish. :D I caught them at the end of breeding but at 1:17 you'll see a few eggs.

Audio doesn't seem to be working properly, at least for me, so mind the loud background noise. :)

cool yeah you have to fool with the sounds a bit til you understand it i had the same issue.. nonetheless great vid's

I really like the re-decor you have done in that tank. I also wish you good luck with the future labs fry.

2.5 week old albino socolofi. Not a great video but I just can't believe how fast they are growing! They are about 5/8" now except the new runt that I found hiding in my Mommy tank, he is maybe 1/2" & very timid. You can see the runt on top of the 2nd rock in the beginning of the video & at the end.

22 OB fry, 3 days old, with their full tummies! I am hoping to get some nice blotched female from this bunch.

I have seen many mixed age fry tanks but everything I read says that if they are more than a week apart don't mix them because the old ones will harass the young ones to death. These guys & the albinos are 2wks apart, what do you guys think? I think I am going to have to setup another tank. :) OR at least divide one. I should also have yellow lab fry in a little over 2 weeks....:duh:

Yeah, I would keep them separated; myswtsins. IME, mbuna fry are rough with younger ones of even the same species. But maybe it was because I had just very few fry together, not enough to spread aggression efficiently.

Yeah I think the numbers play some part in it, I've got about 15 labs and 30+ aceis, was afraid of the labs mistaking the aceis for food, because they were smaller and a darker color.

I've actually added about 10 aceis at first to see what the labs would do and after everything seemed fine I dumped them all in.

Cool. Maybe the species play some part in it too. Will the socolofi fry behave as well as the lab or acei fry? Good luck with your fry, myswtsins and ibr3ak!
