72g Bowfront Mbuna Tank

Thanks, yea I might have some extra Acei in about oh 6 months or so. :D Growing everyone out to a sexable size takes a VERY long time & a lot of space! A lot of my 3-4mo fry have eggs spot already though.

I have some ROOM for rent..lol...

the fish in my 30 are going in the empty 72...so there is a vacancy...

:irked: Just came home from a very nice lunch with the whole family to find my male yellow lab dead! Everything tested OK, ammonia - 0, nitrite - 0, nitrate - 40 (higher than I like it but tomorrow is WC day) Ph-8.2. His belly is a little swollen and he was belly up on the bottom of the tank but I don't think it is swollen enough to be bloat. Just seeing if you guys have any ideas.

Bummer that it is the male! He was 4" for anyone interested.

They strictly get NLS now. They show little interest in fresh veggies anymore. Although I have been giving them some dainichi veggie fx on occasion lately, they have gotten it maybe 3-4 times.

I haven't updated this thread in awhile because of everything else going on with this tank but here are some pictures. Sorry about the dark pictures, the light is rather dim on this tank & the pictures make it look even darker.

FTS with high white balance so you can SEE the tank layout. :) left side is cut off a little though

I added 4 poorly colored small yellow labs to the tank to see if they would survive at that size....well one did!

And some photos of the fry because they don't have their own thread.
My beautiful blochy female ob, I'm very happy with her!

I wasn't even trying to get the acei in this photo, although I did try MANY other times. :) The 3 larger acei I took from the other fry tank have grown SO fast, they are over 2" where as the others are about 1"-1.25".

The albino group, always together always out. These are actually a month older than the OBs but just haven't flourished.

My beloved OBs son may be even more of a stunner than his papa! 2.25" this picture doesn't do him justice!

This tank is crazy, they are so fast I had to use the flash!

Thank you. Everyone gets NLS, the fry/juvi have gotten it their whole lives (except for the 1st week when they got BBS) and my big guys have been eating it almost the entire time I've had them.
