Just got this tank from a friend and decided to move my Angelfish into it.
Here's the plan...
Substrate-
Using the Walstad Method in here. Got a layer of topsoil underneath a layer of sand.
Equipment-
I am running 2 Hagen Glo T5 HO fixtures. For a total of 216 watts. The bulbs are 2 6700K Daylight and 2 Plant bulbs.
For filtration I am running an AC110 and Penguin 350B
Plants-
2 Amazon Swords
2 Unknown Swords
1 Dwarf Lily
Rotala Indica
Myriophyllum Tuberculatum
Dwarf Sag
Vals
Fish-
6 Anglefish
4 GBRs
1 Hybrid Syno Catfish (didn't know it was a hybrid when I bought him)

Not done yet, but here are some pics of today's progress.

Nice looking tank
Can't wait to see fish in it. That 'unknown sword' in the front right corner is an Osiris Sword or Echinodorus Osiris or Echinodorus Rubra

I can't see the other sword so no identification for that :)

Thanks for the ID. It was bought when it was smaller with another sword(that is in another tank). Both of them were labeled as Ruby Melon Swords, but as this one got bigger I realized it wasn't. I'll try and get a better pic of the back sword too. Got more plants coming in soon. So I'll have a bunch more vals in back and dwarf sag up front.
Angels are going in here now so I'll try and get pics up tonight.

looks like a start. you thought of a foreground yet?
Yep, just waiting for them to get here. I ordered a bunch of dwarf sag for the front and vals for the back. Not sure exactly sure where I am going to plant the sag though... either in the middle or off to both sides, either way it should spread out pretty well like it is in my 40.

Finally got a few pics with fish in the tank uploaded...

Nice!! I love Angels too. Yours are very pretty. If you can find them get some "Blue Angels". I have 2 and they look great!!

So the plant growth in here has exploded. My Amazon swords are sending off runners and I have to trim my vals a couple times a week to keep them from hitting the top of the tank.
Right now the livestock is 4 Angelfish (2 pairs) and 14 Lemon Tetras. I think the syno I added in here is still alive, I just haven't seen him since I put him in lol.
