75 gallon Planted Office Tank Journal

I pulled out a dead nerite snail today, all the others seem fine. This one hadn't moved in 3 days, and when I smelled him, it was nasty. I'm sure if I let it go it would have smelled far worse, so I tossed him. My fingers still stink!

Wonder what made him die?

Tanks coming along nicely... I love that you keep this thread packed with detailed images! Keep it up!

they get along well with all kinds of fishes and are devastatingly beautiful.
you gotta to add some dude!!

Yeah, at this point I am stocked (overstocked), so that wont be happening for a long time. I ended up with a rainbow tank, with a nice school of cherry barbs and 4 dwarf cichlids to round out the package. The rainbows are still juveniles, so they arent really flashy yet.

Thanks for taking a peak at my never-ending thread. :D

Tanks lookin really good. So glad you are continue to post great photos.

Thanks!

So after about a week, I decided to peak into filter#2 to see what was going on. Purigen is still not here yet, so this was set right back up in the same fashion as soon as I took this photo.

Looks like very little material makes it past the first white pad, and pads #3 and #4 probably dont add much *visible* benefit.

Probably the only pic for today. See you tomorrow folks.

Have been following your thread. Nice set-up and nice pics.

Just a note----I would drill a small hole about 1" down from the surface on your intake tube. If for some reason your eheim tube pops out of the filter you would not have a disaster.

Great shots!
