75 Gallon Tank

The only thing I would say is that eventually the Red Irian rainbowfish will get large enough to eat the neons. I have seen pictures of adult Boesemani Rainbows with neons in their mouths and they have similar adult sizes. You will have some time before they get large enough, especially depending on the age you buy them at, but it is something to consider. :)

Thanks! What's the difference between NO and HO? Just the brightness or will it have a noticeable affect of the fish? Also, which looks better, because right now I'm partial to the HO...

HO is brighter and more concentrated hence High Output. You can go a step higher and get metal halide (jk jk this is lighting for corals in huge tanks). Really depends on the plants you want. If you are getting low light plants then normal out T5 is best. You can't go by watts per gallon because it is based off the T12 lights. There was a graph that represented each bulb more precisely, I wish I had it =P. Basically it comes to how deep the tank is and how much light you want hitting the bottom, where T5HO, metal halide, are usually the strongest in proportion to tank size and depth.

I see now... so, I could go with 2 48in T8 Fluorescent lights and that would be enough for low light plants... I could go with a T5HO double bulb set up and get more then twice that.... I'll see which is cheaper, but as of right now I still like the T5HO light more.... however, money makes the mind :)
