Thats nice indeed. But i cant really do that in my betta tank - just not enough light - so this has to wait for the bigger tank.
I am also a little worried using any type of string/ net/ fishingline in the tank. Do you think there could be any danger to the fish when using hairnets ? (i know this Q is kinda ridiculous - seeing that you used it and from reading all your posts its obvious you dont do things that could harm them in anyway) :duh:
I don't think that's a rediculous question at all, Hannys_Papa. The hair nets are tied VERY tight and there's no danger of them getting loose and snagging a fish. The riccia grows through the netting and eventually you won't see it at all.

I worry more about my anacharis roots "clothes lining" a fish or cutting an eye or something than the hair net doing damage.

I put a rock hair netted with riccia in my 36g bow and the shrimp, kuhlis and clowns have swarmed all over it looking for munchies. It hasn't come loose at all.

Roan thats a very nice tank. I can see that you are an artist just by looking at it. I would have never come up with that aquascaping idea myself. GREAT JOB EILEEN!
Thank you very much, rrkss!

Good news is that I got my hands on some Monosolenium tenerum, which was apparently misnamed "Pelia" at some point. A guy in Alexandria had some on AquaBid, and Alexandria is only 20 mins away from me. Probably be here by Friday.

I also got my rare Vals and Bolbitus and am going to plant them in the tank tonight. I'll post an updated picture once everything is in place.

My new fishes will be here tomorrow -- 6 Boesemanis and 6 Goo obo gudgeons for this 75g and 6 Pseudomugil gertrudae for my little 10g tank. SO exciting!

Awesome tank! It looks wonderful! Maybe someday I will be able to get my tank looking like that! *crosses fingers*

Roan,
I love your driftwood pieces! Do you order them or find them local. DW is hard to find around here.

it looks GREAT!
