760 watts on a 75g?

Hmm,, not positive but Clown-lover and FSN77 might both have toadstools under MHs, you might ask them.

I have no problem with my leathers under my MH except right after the lights go off my toadstool retracts for about an hour and then he re-extends himself to normal. Mine is about 5 inches under the surface under 175 Watts but will be 250 as soon as I get the new stand and canopy started.

How deep is your tank?
You might do better with 2x150s.

There's about 14 or 15 inches of water deep. 2x150's isn't an option, I already bought a light strip with 250's and it's not a retrofit kit or anything.
