Thre is no certain time to cycle a tank. Do you know about the nitrogen cycle? Buy you do need you cycle your tank before you add fish.
cycle doesn't mean 'run without fish' in this case.
if you are starting from comp;ete scratch, the process will likely take 6+ weeks.

it's a glass or acrylic box, you are going to put water into it, and not use anything else to help the process along other than a source of nitrogen (say store ammonia)

Youi can get startup beneficial bacteria from the pet stores and put some in according to the directions. Then you can let it cycle for about 2-4 weeks
