i wish thats what i want them to do ( so maybe just make this a convict tank then. eh? ) how big will they get if there the only occupents?
jpappy is right. Your other fish are toast when the convicts breed. It's not an "if."
What do you plan on doing with the fry?
You should think this through a little and do some research on your own. Figure out what your main objective is and then make sure you have the hardware and the space to do it. Moreover, a plan on what to do with the fry is important as well.

in a 4 foot tank you could only keep 2 pair of cons, any more will set up for disaster cause when they breed, and they will, their going to kill every thing that comes near them, i would do something like some severums and odessa barbs with some loaches. or geos will some rasboras and corys,
well im goin to start breeding for traits im tryin to get as much blue out of the cons as poss ( this may take a few generations but still worth it )
