80 Gallon Setup

Hello all,

I've been reading these great threads on setting up a SW tank and I would like to get your comments on a setup that I was planning on getting for $200 from a friend's roommate.

It includes:
80G Glass tank w/stand
Wet/Dry Filter (the one that uses those blue bio balls)
Protein Skimmer w/ UV sterilizer
Canopy Light setup
RO/DI water filter
2 powerheads.

I'm not sure of the brands yet.
Would you say this would be an awesome deal to pick up on?
What else should I be looking to get?

1st sounds like a good deal.
a few questions - what kind of lights are in the canopy?
what do you want to keep? FOWLR or reef?

There was one actinic and one flourescent bulb, but not sure of the output.

I am looking at doing a FOWLR for now and once it has become established i want to start adding a few coral and such.


The wet/dry filter looks like a maxi reef setup.
