80 Gallon Tank

Ok so I'm definately going with Rummies they are very nice looking when they color up.

Cory cats are a must have they are so full of personality.

German Blue Rams any reputable online breeders you guys can order pairs from? The local shops are getting those Rams from Asia and I'm not too excited about that.

Hmmm a Discus or 2? There uber sensitive to water right? Would Altum Angels be a good alternate?

Pleco yes maybe more than 1. I'm thinking some from the Hypancistrus family. Sadly Zebra plecs aren't an option at the current market pricing.

Try going to aquabid.com. Just for the record, i think the Local stores get them from asia, and many have complained they die off and aren't able to be bred, but i'd had very good luck with them, and they've bred every 3 weeks for the passed 4 months. So you could save a lot by buying them at the store rather than shipping and all that. But it's up to you.

My GBR fry are about 2 weeks old, otherwise i'd offer to ship you a pair. lol.

and yea, discus are sensitive. it was jsut a suggestion, as i wish i could have them myself, but my tank is too small.

angels would be my 2 choice as a centerpiece though!

and as for plecos, i really am beginning to like the royal pleco, they look amazing.

let us know what you decide.

Ok here's an idea:

How about an all Albino Community Tank? Schoolers, Plecos, Corys, Rainbows, Livebearers, Single Peaceful Cichlids are ok too.

Throw your ideas out there!! :)

Multiple Plecos?! I'd be afraid of that. The albino idea is cool though.

The wife and I debated on going Salt but the extra equipment, maintenance and costs involved outweighed the pros

That is of course quite a good point. However, to get a basic marine system up and running can be done without major expense, and of course, can always be expanded and added to as finances dictate..

maintenance wise, again, a simple marine system does not take much more miantenance the FW, research and understanding is the key there...

Good luck in whatever route and setup you choose here..
