Tell me if you guys think this is too many fish

18- Tiger barbs
20- Zebra danios
15- Brilliant rasboras
12- White cloud mountain minnows
1- 3" goldfish

in a 90g 48"x18"x24". What do you think?

A little on the high side, manageable with weekly water change though.

Are we talking about fancy goldfishes or the regular comets and shubunkin? If its the fancy goldfish with the long finnage, the tiger barbs might terrorize it and nibble their fins.

decide between tropical and cool water fish. gold fish and the white clouds are cool water fish. keeping them with the rest of the fish means one group or the other isn't going to get what they need temperature wise.

white clouds can be kept warmer but show better colors if the temperatures are slightly lower than tropical.

Most your tropicals like it a little warmer than 72 degree. They'll tolerate 72, but ...

keeping tropical and coldwater(or coolwater) fish in the same tank, especially goldfish, is a problem not only because of the tempurature needs of the fish but because of aggression. goldfish will often gobble up the food before the other fish get a chance. and the tiger barbs may become a problem with the golfish (and rasboras?) as well. with nipping and such.
golfish can tolerate 72 degrees but it's not good for them for extended periods of time. and yes 72 degrees is a tad bit low for tropical fish.
:rant2: ;)
