-- 90 Gallon Build Thread --

I got my magnum 350 up and running. I'm worried its gonna leak, but it will prolly be fine. I'm going to order another canister filter tomorrow.

Let the fun begin :)

What kind of substrate did you get?

Clown loaches work fine with cichlids, although have a breeding pair of GTs in the tank is going to limit what you can add.

I have kept CLs with my lone male GT, pike cichlids, and a small carpintis.

What kind of filtration do you have so far? If you need more, get an AC110. Cheap, efficient, easy to clean.

I would love to get clown loaches, but I don't want any fish to make the green terrors not breed. Maybe I will have them breed once and then add fish after the fry moves out.

I am getting a knockoff canister that I've heard was good.

I doubt they would prevent the GTs from spawning, the eggs would probably get eaten though.

Well, I certainly don't want the eggs to get eaten =p. What fish could I keep in there with them that wouldnt eat the eggs? How about a texas, or a jack dempsy or something that is 2" bigger than the terrors

Why go out and look around for some that you like. I found all mine, did the venegear test, boiled them and dropped them in. They were free.

Alot of Ebay auctions give you an idea of what you will get with rocks etc. I like to pick my own out.

I went to a local building supply lot and they had a lot of the stone that people use for aquariums at "dirt cheap" prices. It worked out great -- I was able to pick out exactly the pieces I wanted and paid about $0.30 / lb.

Thanks guys, but I ended up ordering the last one on the list. I do a little rock hunting myself now and then, but since there are no rocks that will work on my property, I can't really get rocks elsewhere as it is illegal :mad2:.

As for a warehouse... if only there was one near me :(.
