excel is liquid co2. i wouldnt bother with a diy co2.

Yes, it is liquid CO2, but it has a slightly different chemical composition than the gaseous form. Plants are best able to utilize the gaseous form. Excel is great when you only need a little of it, but for high demand situations it just isn't enough.

nope..I had one on mine when it happened..the check valve prevents water from the tank from entering the bottle.(one way flow)

lol? turn it the other way

Then the CO2 couldn't get into the tank. You just need a second bottle to act as a gas separator.
