In a 100-gallon tank I would have at least 100lbs. of rock in it. It doesn't all have to be "live" rock. Depending on how much you'd like to add, you can use a percentage actual live rock and a percentage "dead" rock (which is usually cheaper). The live rock will eventually seed the "dead" rock which will make it live after a few weeks or months- and it's the less expensive way to go.

sound a good idea when you say dead rock what type would you suggest as i have just got a price for 100lbs of live rock £700:mad: .
