Right i am chucking in the Canister filter and spending $300 on live rock and grabbing a CPR Backback skimmer to replace the belin airlift! i am really exited about going au natural for the first time! no filter media at all just 2 100GPH power heads and live rock and sand

I currently have 20Lb of live rock and 40LB of live sand so this should bumb me up to 80LB of live rock in my 40G which will fill it up nicely and mean i nearly done after two years.

Future setup

40G - Clown Fish reef tank (Sumpless)
160W - T5 PC lighting with specific refelektors
CCR Backpack Skimmer
2 X 100GPH Power heads

80LB live Rock
40LB live Sand

Sounds like a great reef developing! What corals are you thinking about?

I already have some green star polyp bought as a frag a year ago,and some pulsing xenia that was a hitchiker on some live rock! both are really doing well under the PC's

I plan for lots of different zoos, shrooms and various softies nothin too demanding really

I will eventually be grabing a BTA but not until i have the experiance with the above and the various aditional parameters to check Calc Alk ect.
