What is your substrate?

I'm just using normal gravel. I talked to my dad who had several planted and non planted tanks when I was younger and still does and he said just use normal gravel and fertilize them well.

I'm gonna go with:

12 Cardinal tetras, 7 Cherry barbs, 10 Harlequin rasboras or black neons, and 6 panda corys.

It may change a little I'm not too sure yet.

Here are some new pics of my tank after a month!

Inhabitants: 1 dwarf gourami, 6 cardinals, 7 cherry barbs,11 black neons, 2 pepper cory cats, 1 otto.

All this in a month and I don't use Co2 or anything other than liquid fertilizer!

I love the layout! Might want to add a few more Cory Cats. They like to school.

I will add more soon. I had 3 but 1 just up and vanished on me, as well as 2 other ottos. I have no idea where they went! I checked everywhere and they're no where to be seen.

I'll also be adding some water hedge, creeping jenny, pygmy chain sword, and dwarf hair grass. This is my first shot at a planted tank and so far so good. It's lots of fum!
