Most of y'all know I paint. I also like to build things and, over the years, I've put together a little wood shop. A couple years ago I built a picnic table for my mother. My girlfriend at the time, now my wife, asked if I could build her one..."Sure!" But she didn't want the conventional-looking picnic table; "Let's look on the web and see what's out there", she suggests. She found one she liked. "Can you make that one, baby?" "Um...I think so. I couldn't find any plans or drawings for it, just a picture. So...from the memory of I picture, this is what I came up with... 20181202_161335.jpg 20181202_161248.jpg 20181202_161227.jpg

Great work!

My brother built me an 8 sided one about 20yrs ago. It's a monster and has moved with us 3x. The seat goes all the way around which is kind of a pain to step into for some. Given there's no risk of my bro reading this. I like yours better! :)

Looks great...I can see a "mod" of a half sunken brew tub in the center...

LMAO Joel...and thanks! This one took 5 of us to move outside and turn over. I had to build it upside down, with it resting on its top on my work table. I painted the underside in place then finished sanding the top and seats after we flipped it over, then finished painting. hope we never have to move it.

Or run a brace across that serves as a bottle holder maybe...
