hello kush, hey buddy just a thought you have access to the internet what i would do is google frontosa and you will get a wealth of info, really any search engine will result in alot of info i would read up on some current info before you do anything else educate yourself on what they really need and the history of the lake, which is a huge ecosystem for sure really its more lika an ocean on how deep it is and strong currents also has a salinity to it, heres the kicker frontosa in the wild are very deep water dwellers and they feed apon other fish so if you get a frontosa that is wild caught then i would say it would be used to the currents from tanganyika if it is a tank raised or farmed raised fish than its used to what it grew up in which more than likely is what you have i wouldnt say let the water stay stagnant, also if your fish are clinging for its dear life i would say turn off the jacuzzi, a little current will not harm an african cichlid as for the foods if you only have access to floating foods than yes you could pre-soak it, as for gravel you could use any type i wouldnt go with those huge pebbles i would stick with the medium size gravel because they will dig in the substrate under rocks and its a natural issue for them to dig mine do it all of the time, good luck buddy..
