Can anyone give me some useful information about Oscars?
I saw a few pictures of them from another user and I really formed a liking to them. They really are beautiful fish. Does anyone have experience with them? What are they like to own? What did/do you feed and what will they eat if they get a chance? Are they aggresive? How big of a tank do they require?

It's great you saved the poor guy!

Thats what I am trying to do with 60+ comets..or will be once I get them from this school in a month or so.

I just recently found new homes for my 3 oscars, but they truly are a blas to have.

They'll eat almost any prepared food or live food you put in the tank (I even fed mine ADF's a couple times for calcium).

They swim all over the tank, because they have a very curious nature.... if I would press my face against the glass trying to observe some of the more shy fish (like the royal panaque) soon enough they swim right in front of me and it seems they're trying to figure out what I'm looking at, or hog my attention.

Great fish.... but messy!

Oscars, the curious Georges of the tank. They eat most anything. If kept alone for a long time, they can be resistant on a large scale to new tankmates. Keep with similar sized fish.
