That is one of my male Praecox Rainbows, with his fins somewhat down. They are really nice when they decide to stand 'em up.

That just might explain the dominance exhibited by "her"..... "she" is larger than the other 3 females, and is always chasing them out of "her" territory. They chase each other too, but nothing like this one does. "she" has gotten better about it of late, not anywhere near as much in the fin nipping area...

Yup, definitely a plakat male, very cool bettas!!! I've been looking for one for some time. I like their shorter fins and more natural look, closer to the wild strains.
