This is gonna sound crazy, but this morning when I lifted my tank lid to feed my fish there was fungi growing on my driftwood!! Looked like little mushrooms growing on the side of my driftwood just like what you would see in the forest. The top of driftwood sticks out about 4 inches above the water. I kept it that way so my snails would have a place to get outta the water and lay eggs (which they have used quite often). Is this gonna harm my fish?? Should I take my driftwood out of the tank? (I really don't want to because I have a ton of java moss growing on it.) Should I cut off the exposed part of the wood and just keep it completely submersed?? Has anyone else had this happen??

ooo, thats neat. iv had tiny mushrooms grow in paludariums but never directly about the water line

Fourth, I'm not quite clear on whether the fungi are growing abaove the waterline or below, but either way, I don't see them being a problem; I think it's cool.
