I was just feeding my guppies when i thought i saw something really tiny quickly swim across the tank. But it looked like it was just a bubble. However when i looked closer i saw two tiny black eyes and it happened to be a baby guppy!!

Although I am VERY excited about my discovery...I am also sad because I did a 25% exchange last night and I most likely sucked up the other fry that were still alive since I sucked underneath rocks and everywhere.

The baby guppy is so0o itty bitty!! It almost looks like a brine shrimp! For now, I just put it in a breeding contraption and fed it crushed up flakes. Hopefully I'll find more fry. Otherwise I have 3 other pregnant guppies! From now on, I am going to keep all my pregnant guppies on the other side of the tank with a tank divider and maybe buy a couple plants like hornwort, java moss/java fern. That way @ least a lot more would survive!

I have some new babies too! I got a really pretty hi-fin platy female about 2 weeks ago that died after a week or so. Don't know what happened to her, I found her stuck on the filter strainer dead one morning. I never even thought about any babies there might be, then last night my husband asked me "What's that in there?!?!" and there are about 10 fry swimming around! I hope some of them turn out too look like the mom, she was a beautiful solid blue. The betta and white clouds in that tank don't seem to be too interested in the fry so hopefully they will all live.

wow. That's great news skye.eyes.woman..well not about the mom dying but congratulations on 10 babies!! Sometimes if you buy a pregnant fish from a pet store they will die right after giving birth..i don't know why that is but it has happened to a couple people I know.

I am a new mommy too! I have had my cories for 5 years and a couple of days ago I saw a little bitty cory. Usually the eggs get eaten, but this one got lucky. He is soooo cute!
