well if you went the speed of light, to a planet 20 LY away, wouldnt you get there in less then a year? cause if you had a ship that cant go the speed of light, THEN wouldnt it take 20 years? i though speed of light is faster?
 
ok your in a car, where you want to go to is 20 mins away, you drive it may take 15 mins atleast, but walking, you can get there in 20 mins or maybe more.. so wouldnt going the speed of light be faster then a ship without?
 
You need to do a lot more research, dude. You really have no idea of the basics of what you're talking about.

Technically I think he is confusing relativity from a FTL concept with a light-limited concept.

I've heard them combined even in text books before and it comes out exactly like LBF just wrote (well...a little more sciencey). The concepts don't really combine very well though. One concept looks at time as light and any travel faster or approaching the speed of light becomes time travel.

Both concepts make my head hurt trying to go too deep into them. Too many things warped around the concepts to make them make sense in the real world.

I am the first to say you are entitled to your opinion but really this isn't how it works. Please do a little more research about this topic.
