you can de-venomize any venomous snake, thy are knows as "venomoids"

I do believe that it is possible to de venom and defang a cobra, but I thought cobras attack by shooting a poisonous liquid from two opening holes at the top of its mouth?

..there are a few cobras know as "spitting" cobras, they can shoot venom out of their fangs, and into your eyes..
