I would agree that most of use overfeed our fish on a regular basis. I was out of town around Christmas and left my fish for 5 days. The fish looked better than normal when I returned and the water and tank were crystal clear. Both the water and fish always looked great but this was even better than usual. When I fed them upon my return, they acted as hungry as they always do... no more, no less.

Well of course my opinion is just my opinion. 
I don't see a problem feeding everyday as long as it's small. When I say small I mean like each fish getting maybe 4 mouthfuls at the most. Make them compete for the food Anyway. Interesting topic.
