A Lighting question about heat...

I have seen this retrofit kit that i kindof like but i have one concern. Would the halides overheat the vho lights being close like that or will they be fine?

Take a look at the pic and tell me if you think this will work for me and be ok...

I'd mount that in an open canopy at least 6" above the water surface w/ forced air moving from end to end (fans) and expect it to be OK.

Halides IMO should be at least 8 inches off the water, a couple of fans and you will be fine!!

Just wondering about the height. I built a halide fixture from a halogen shop light. The bulb needs to be 8" or the bottom of the fixture?

Bulbs
