A little embarrassing but (fleas).......

We have 20 dogs (yep you read it right) and advantage wiped out the fleas just by using it on the dogs only. We tried spraying before that, but it was useless. Try advantage on the cat. It works very well, but can take some time to work as it's not a normal 'knock down' type of poison. Just apply it regular and the fleas will vanish over the next few weeks.

Unless the fleas are biting you and others in the house, DON'T flea bomb. I work for a vet and we recommend 2 months of Advantage. This covers both the current fleas and larvae and any eggs in the home that will hatch out into larvae the next month. Advantage does not eliminate the flea eggs (only adults and larvae), and the eggs will hatch into larvae in 20-25 days starting the cycle over. This is why we say to treat for 2 months.
