A little experiment.

I took a few fish pics and added a black background to see what
they looked like, what do you think, good or bad?

not bad. makes it look a little dark though (underexposed?). But I like the picture of the Sterbai (?) cory.

I like them. It looks like the fish are swimming through space. Maybe you should add stars.

I think it makes the photos look a little flat. Beautiful shots of the fish though.

Personally, i like the natural lighting and backround better too. It looks okay with the all black backround but the first thing I thought of was that it looks photoshopped, the first pic of the loach and the cory in particular. The picture of the fish itself is good, but I don't like the black backround as much.
