A little Frusterated!

My Solana Protein skimmer seems to be not made correctly. The Cylinder in the middle is not glued down to the base.. i am not sure if its supposed to but i am pretty positive that when water fills that chamber the thing will float.

i also have no idea how to operate this RO/DI (it is DI as well it says it it atleast i dk) the water comes through the red tube but very slowly through the blue one or not at all. does the third chamber need to fill completely before the water comes out?

Usually you run your new RO/DI for 1 hour to "flush" them before you use the water out of them. On mine the yellow is the input line, blue is clean water, black is waste water. I put yellow to faucet, black hose goes in the drain, and blue goes in a trashcan. It will drip very slowly, maybe a drip a second on a 50GPD unit.

alright ill let mine run over night and see how it goes! as for the skimmer were going to glue what needs to be glued into place.

I reconnected it i dk what i did differently but now the water is flowing out the blue tube (clean water). So thats one thing done.

gonna take a while to hit the ten gal mark to get rid of the water then actually fill the 32gal trash can to the top thing to the top lol my parents are gonna go nuts with the water bill :/
