I could use some input here guys! Chris has the game Mafia and he finished it. I bought it for Chris this past xmas, and he LOVED it. I could not pry him away from it and he normally hates computer games/using the computer. I picked it up for 9.98$ at Walmart (heaven forbid it should be a year "old").

So, I need some help. His bday is on Wednesday, and I want to get him a game as close to Mafia as I can - ie, Mafia based, shoot 'em up, drive a getaway car, take orders for missions, "realistic" etc. He liked the puzzle aspect of the game and how it was very movie-like with all of the interim scenes. He's not interested in playing against others online and he liked the strategy and realness of it more than the "bloody" parts - though that doesn't mean he wouldn't like something a little gory.

I don't really want a "brand new" 50$ game...this is for one of his little presents. So, any of the so-called "older" games that are like 15$ and under are best.

Any ideas, please?

Other people have suggeseted Return to Castle Wolfenstein, which I've never heard of and I'm not sure it sounds like the same Mafia-style thing. Someone briefly mentioned something called Hitman contracts. Past that, all I was getting were suggestions for Playstation and stuff like that.

Hitman 2 is one of my favorite games. Wolfenstein isnt really the same kind of game. GTA III or GTA Vice City were big hits, something like Mafia but more "playful". Stick to those and he'll be happy.

Well, it isn't really mafia style but it's a VERY fun game with lots of storyline, battles, missions (quests) good vs. evil, decisions that affect the storyline, etc... it's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. A year or two old so it might be cheaper now. I very rarely find games I like enough to finish, but this was one of them, and the sequel is fantastic so far too. Not sure if it will help, but I'd recommend this line of games to just about anyone.

Well, they had a limited supply, but I ended up getting both Hitman II and GTA III. Hope he likes them!
