I'm wanting to set up a freshwater "nano" tank with my 1 gallon aquarium. I'm going to do some tiny plants in there, and was wondering what kind of fish I can do that will go along with the whole "tiny" theme. I was thinking dwarf puffers, but I've heard that they are very territorial, so I could probably only do one or two. Any other suggestions? They need to be 'mini' fish

Heterandria formosa - least killifish. Thats about all I'd want to keep in a 1gal tank. Otherwise, plants, shrimp, snails.

one gallon is toooooooo smaaaaaalllll for a dwarf puffer need about 3 gallon per fish. Check www.dwarfpuffers.com

you could put one of those "diver dan" air hose ornaments with some plants and ask people to look at it and find the fish but there are no fish ...keep looking.

ghost shrimp would work but are jumpers, H. formosa would work though. but no more than a trio. there are other small killies that could work too.

Eclipse makes a nice 3 gallon set-up. It would give you so much more to work with and still be a tiny tank.

No fish (that includes killies). Try a couple of shrimp, some plants, and smaller snails (no bigger than a quarter).

Yes, and you could have actual fish, too! :D

Ok, so far I have a piece of driftwood, some java fern, java moss, and 5 pond snails. For some reason, my water is cloudy... I don't have a filter, but I do have an airstone that is on a low setting (just enough to disturb the suface of the water). What's the dealio? Should I add some carbon to clear it up? It doesn't really look like an algae bloom. It's just cloudy. Is this just another part of the cycle?
