I would consider getting a bigger set up such as a 3 gallon tank. It is still a tiny tank but you can plant it up, run a filter on it with a mini heater, and you will open yourself up to a lot more possibilities as far as the fish are concerned.
I already have this 1 gallon tank from when I had a betta. I'm just wanting to use that and not go buy another setup. I'm probably just going to do java fern, java moss, and pond snails. Thanks for all of ya'lls input! I think my tiny tank is going to turn out pretty cool!
1 gallon is real small you can do snails or maybe a dwarf frog not sure how big they get though. Why not go for a bigger tank? You can do so much more with it.

I have a 60g that I'm about to set up. The 1 gallon would be on my dresser, so it can't be too large. I think I'm just going to stick with snails and do mainly plants.
I love it! Unfortunately, I can't have freshwater plants with saltwater brine shrimp. We have bought those little Sea-monkey kits before. They were lots of fun to watch.
