I've stuck to freshwater so far, but from what I've seen saltwater seems really cool. I have a kid in my dorm who knows a lot about saltwater, and i've been talking to him about getting a small tank.

I was thinking something simple, maybe a 15gal (smaller?) or so and just a single dwarf lion fish. Is that tank too small, or could i pull it off?

If I end up getting one, is there anything i should watch for (besides the massive amount of deadly toxin they carry)?

I would say at least a 29gl for a dwarf lionfish, they are messy eaters. And the toxin being deadly is subjective, its more like a beesting, so if your alergic to beestings being stung can be bad, in most other cases theres pain and swelling and sometimes numbness.
