A New Girl, Pygmy Cories, or All?

Well, I haven't exactly been able to measure them, but by eyeing them, they definatly look about an inch or so from their mouth to the tips of their tails, except for one of them who seems to be a guy, he's a bit smaller. They've all grown a lot since I got them from the petstore.

I actually had to adapt my ways of feeding when I got guppies because they had longer fins and couldn't get to the food. I'd be able to make sure the cories got their food :)

Okay. I really don't want to sound like a snob who doesn't take information when it is given, but I know it would work. On my "home" forum, they specialize in bettas, and I've been talking to people and researching quite a bit. If I make sure to gauge my girls' temperments before putting them in, and I have enough hiding spots and watch them carefully, it can work.

Yes, of course it can work, but it can also go horribly wrong very easily. If you're up for the "challenge" and have places to move the incompatible girls to, then go for it (& start a thread for others to follow!). Good luck, I hope you share your experience here... There have been a few 10g sororities discussed/set up but not many that post updates.

about the tillapia

Well, there is the spare 20 high gallon that I'm cleaning out for a deformed tilapia at the moment (it's at 2 inches and probably won't grow bigger due to an old spinal injury.) . If the little guy doesn't make it...
hey if the tillapia don't make it let me know i have an awsome recipie for cevice totally killer and 2 inches is enough to make a couple tostadas outa :omg::dance2:

i would really recomend setting up the 20 high that you have though. it pissed me off to no end when i realized that i couldn't responcibly stock my 10 gallon with the fishes i wanted to :) lucky that came after i got the violet goby so i had a built in excuse to up grade so the wife wouldn't get too mad when i did. now i just need him to grow so i can make a case for my 8ftx 2 1/2ft x 2 1/2 foot tank :headbang2:

ps. i learned how to make smiles guys no more plain emoticon for me.

FishyCat: yeah, I'm aware of that. It seems that the ammounts of sucesses and failures for 10 gallons sororities are about 1:1 ratio wise. And when I get it started, I'll definately post.

Carpenter: Lol, not this little dude (he's a handycap, and so excused from being eaten XD ). I've literally got easily 500 or so 1/2 foot long tilapias at the family business. They'd be much more tastey. Hmm, the sale is so tempting, but I've got a spare ten gallon waiting to be set up, the 20 gallon, and no more excuses XD (oh, and if you're reading this, please go look at the most recent visitor message I sent you :D )
